Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and encountered a number of racial slurs, which caused her to feel uncomfortable. As she entered the 9th grade she began to feel more confident when she was praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. This not only increased her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. At the age of 22, she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23, she started her career on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 she made her film debut in You've received mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway performance of Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she appeared on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. Also, she is a well-known singer and has produced an extended show. Also, she's an activist and is a tireless advocate in the fight for LGBT rights.
