Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookbook author as well as an Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career at the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies as well as the budget. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual rigors of the job, but quickly lost the interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely popular before selling it off before acquiring a pen to write her first book. Several other books and magazines followed. Her Food Network TV show also made its debut which was an enormous success. The company also offers a wide range of product from cooking ingredients to equipment and storage containers. Ina has never been to any cookery schools or had a job in a restaurant. She she is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
